WILMINGTON, NC – The Dean Randazzo Cancer Foundation (DRCF) proudly recognizes the brothers of Phi Gamma Delta (Fiji) at the University of North Carolina Wilmington for their outstanding efforts in raising $7,471 during the 2025 Fiji Island Festival, held on April 12 at Pantana Bob’s in Wilmington.

Thanks to the overwhelming support of the local community, students, and sponsors, the event more than doubled last year’s total of $3,500, making it the most successful Fiji Island Festival to date. All proceeds from the event are being donated directly to the DRCF, supporting the Foundation’s mission to provide financial assistance to individuals fighting cancer and to promote cancer awareness and prevention.

“We are incredibly grateful to the brothers of Phi Gamma Delta at UNCW for their passion, energy, and commitment to giving back,” said DRCF President Jon Baker. “Their contribution will make a real difference in the lives of those we serve, and we are honored to be the beneficiary of such a vibrant and community-driven event.”

The Fiji Island Festival featured live music from local bands, student vendors, and a community raffle filled with generously donated prizes. The event drew a large crowd and highlighted the power of student-led philanthropy in bringing people together for a great cause.

The DRCF applauds Phi Gamma Delta for their continued dedication and looks forward to seeing what they accomplish in the years to come.
